In 1989 Mary Gill and Jeanne Gilbert were overnight employees at Days Inn properties in Indiana. Gill worked at the Merrillville location, and Gilbert near Rensalear. In the early morning hours of Friday March 3, each property was robbed, the women assaulted and murdered.

As DNA technology improved the murders were linked with the 1987 slaying of Super 8 motel employee Vicki Heath and two additional assaults. This serial killer has never been identified.

  1. This is one of my favorite podcasts. You share stories that no one talks about but should and your voice is just really soothing. Keep up the great work.

  2. It seems strange that no one has identified this guy since he has quite a distinctive look. Of course, these crimes happened pre-internet when a composite sketch could reach millions of eyes in minutes. No more crimes since 1991? He’s probably dead. Let’s hope so, anyway.

  3. They will need to locate him the same way the GSK was located. They have his DNA but it takes money and man hours.
