All time favourite podcast
I found out about Already Gone from a friend in December of 2019 and I have been obsessed ever since. Nina’s stories are always incredibly well-researched and told, as well as captivating. I’ve listened to every episode. I’ve only been to Michigan once in my life, but I feel like I know the dark side of its past pretty well now (lol). I usually have trouble listening to podcasts and following along with the story but I’ve never had this problem with Already Gone + Don’t Talk To Strangers. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to hear more. 💛
Edmund Fitzgerald
I enjoyed this story and all the historical facts.
Soothing
Nina’s voice is so pleasant and soothing that she conveys such concern for the victim and is soothing for the listener. She’s done fantastic research and chooses the most important pieces of the story to emphasize. This is a very well done podcast.
Congratulations
Thank you for 4 wonderful years.
Riveting, I think I actually held my breath.
Having grown up in Lansing I almost skipped this episode. I am so thankful I didn’t. The descriptions and details were amazing.
Larry The Geezer-Family Jewels True Crime Pod
I love this podcast. Top notch. I only wish an old man could do one half this good.
Excellent Case Reviews
Nina is a natural and true spirit. She researches details like a detective and thinks outside the box. Mostly sticks to facts, but has her own theories based off of facts. LOVE IT!!!!
I love it!!
I love hearing true crime stories and it’s a plus that a lot of these are from Michigan!! I love your podcast! So Amazing to listen to!
Incredible narration
I currently have an insane migraine and this is the only podcast I can listen to. Thank you for Nina for saving my day
Great podcast.
This is one of the very best podcasts out there. Excellent content, great voice, well done all around. Love it! The Edmund Fitzgerald episode was truly great. Thanks!
Amazing!
I love this podcast. Nina provides such well thought out and interesting content. My only critique is wishing to have a new episode each week! Her voice is amazing, so soothing and keeps my attention. The stories are compelling and definitely nothing like we can find elsewhere.
One of the best podcaster voices!
I can listen to her buttery, silky voice for hours! She is in an amazing story teller. Such a pleasure to hear just one voice, and not a back-and-forth volley as with many other podcasts. She does not sound as though she is reading from a script.
Great podcast
Stories of cases not covered elsewhere. Excellent!!!
Nina is doing work I wish we could all do!
I’ve been listening since day one, and I’m heartbroken by every episode. I wish everyone felt the love and compassion that Nina does for victims and their loved ones. Side note: her voice is like velvet. I admire her research and the work she puts in to the episodes, giving a voice to the victims and their families.
Fantastic
Nina is the epitome of perfect podcast host. She tells a story, connects with the people and places but not overly so. Love it! 💜
Discovered gem
I just found this podcast and am pleased that I have a lot of catching up to do! As an avid True Crime fan, this is a must have on any subscription list. Highly recommend this.
Could be 5 star
Interesting stories, it’s unfortunate the host feels the need to spend an excessive amount of time normalizing abnormal behavior. A straightforward telling would be appreciated. Host has soothing voice. Wish I could give this a five star review.
The best
Love this podcast
Single voice storytelling
The host has a great way of using inflection, emotion, and cadence to draw the listener in to the podcast, and effectively becomes a voice for the victim without exploiting the families left behind. Nina is a natural narrator, and her selection of cases spans both historical cases that have been forgotten by all but those left behind to the family and friends trying to come to grips with tragedy in the age of instant communication. A go to podcast for True Crime libraries.
The host does her research and is a great narrator
Let’s face it, there are a lot of of true crime podcasts out there. Some just do it I think because they like watching Forensic Files. Most of the podcasts have silly hosts who go off track, leave important details etc. Not Nina, she does her research and is a journalist at heart. She is extremely talented and has a way of sweeping you into each case. I love this podcast and this host even though I am not from Michigan. One of my favorites.
Well Played
I like that this is Michigan based. Nina does a great job and has an interesting voice. My only issue is during some of the interviews where a person is talking besides Nina, it tends to drag on and I find myself skipping ahead. But well done Nina, I look forward to each episode.
Well researched.
My favorite part of the podcast is the amount of research that goes into. The cases are interesting and the way she tells relays the information is not distracting to the case. Very appreciate of the work that goes into this podcast.
Love from a Michigander
I’m from Michigan currently living in Rhode Island and this podcast gives me a taste of home and insight! Keep it up. But maybe more recent cases? About missing kids from Detroit! There’s a lot
Love it
Subscribe and listen. Super interesting.
