Ran across this podcast about two years ago as I use to have a long commute to work and the podcast is based . One of her well researched cases I was shocked to learn (since I looked up the name thinking, No way! Did I really have this kid when I student taught 10 years ago at one of the local high schools?! Sure enough, looked him up and she was correct in the name of the school and former student ) ... Blew my mind! The host’s research is crazy good and she has a mission to help these families find closure. Very interesting and it’s good she brings cases to light that may not have had any more exposure to hopefully help the grieving loved ones peace of mind. Def worth a listen!

Update. Second chance. Went back to the start where it was great. Then hit one I thought was really exploitive, with speculation that was completely unfounded - like maybe x killed her killed her because he thought she was pregnant. Of course she wasn’t, but maybe .., and then maybe Y did ....I was horrified. Plus the juxtaposition of graphic crimes with how much you love this meal. Ok, you need ads but not even a pause for breath between things like this wound severed and yum my family loves this meal. Just can’t take things like a body on the beach next to an ad.

Nina is an amazing story teller I have loved true crime for a very long time now! I have cried a few times listening to her. Patreon here I come ♥️

Happy to have found a new podcast with a backlog. Great host, well researched content - amount of detail is good, references to other cases that take place in the same areas makes it even more intriguing.

I listen to A TON of True Crime podcasts and Already Gone has quickly become a favorite! I’m very impressed by Nina’s research and story telling style. Nina has covered many stories I wasn’t already familiar with, but anytime she has covered a story I had already heard covered elsewhere, she gives so many details I’d never heard before. Nina’s voice is very calming, which I love. She shows respect for victims and their families, and I love that she never takes on telling the story of a case until she feels prepared to do it properly. LOVE IT & HIGHLY recommend! Thank you Nina!!! ♥️

One of my favorite true crime podcast!

I found out about Already Gone from a friend in December of 2019 and I have been obsessed ever since. Nina’s stories are always incredibly well-researched and told, as well as captivating. I’ve listened to every episode. I’ve only been to Michigan once in my life, but I feel like I know the dark side of its past pretty well now (lol). I usually have trouble listening to podcasts and following along with the story but I’ve never had this problem with Already Gone + Don’t Talk To Strangers. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to hear more. 💛

I enjoyed this story and all the historical facts.

Nina’s voice is so pleasant and soothing that she conveys such concern for the victim and is soothing for the listener. She’s done fantastic research and chooses the most important pieces of the story to emphasize. This is a very well done podcast.

Having grown up in Lansing I almost skipped this episode. I am so thankful I didn’t. The descriptions and details were amazing.

Nina is a natural and true spirit. She researches details like a detective and thinks outside the box. Mostly sticks to facts, but has her own theories based off of facts. LOVE IT!!!!

I love this podcast. Nina provides such well thought out and interesting content. My only critique is wishing to have a new episode each week! Her voice is amazing, so soothing and keeps my attention. The stories are compelling and definitely nothing like we can find elsewhere.

I can listen to her buttery, silky voice for hours! She is in an amazing story teller. Such a pleasure to hear just one voice, and not a back-and-forth volley as with many other podcasts. She does not sound as though she is reading from a script.

I’ve been listening since day one, and I’m heartbroken by every episode. I wish everyone felt the love and compassion that Nina does for victims and their loved ones. Side note: her voice is like velvet. I admire her research and the work she puts in to the episodes, giving a voice to the victims and their families.

Nina is the epitome of perfect podcast host. She tells a story, connects with the people and places but not overly so. Love it! 💜

I just found this podcast and am pleased that I have a lot of catching up to do! As an avid True Crime fan, this is a must have on any subscription list. Highly recommend this.
