Listener Reviews
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the years of enjoyable listening you have provided to this audience! Hate to see you go but so grateful for everything you’ve done! Best wishes, Nina!
Great podcast
Nina you are the best! Caring and stories of cases not covered elsewhere. Excellent!!! All the best to you Nina.
Just started listening, can’t stop-
Just editing to say I will miss this podcast greatly and have enjoyed every episode. Thank you Nina for your work!!! I work from home now, and have been searching for great podcasts. Nina does a marvelous job of staying true to stories, being unbiased, and delivering facts in a creepily calming way. But I love it. I am a MI native and am obsessed with this podcast.
Repeated sections
I like hearing stories that aren’t featured everywhere. So, thanks for that! But I’m not sure if it’s just me, but every time I play this podcast there’s repeated sections of the story. Sometimes 3x, hmm.
Great podcast
I grew up in Michigan and am loving this podcast. One of my friends was murdered in Michigan in the early 2000’s her name was Alicia Gyomory would make an excellent episode
I don’t enjoy your tag a long podcasts
I like the podcast but am not interested in “you might also enioy” on your podcast feed. I suggest you mention them and post a link. I’m not interested in Oprah or the other ones that come with yours appearing in my feed.
Good but could be better with doing a little better due diligence
I’m new to this podcast. As a Michigander it piqued my interest. First observation is the nice calm voice. Okemos wasn’t pronounced correctly. There’s a lot of Indian words And I knew by the third podcast that she’s from the Detroit area, as she relates every city to its proximity to Detroit. There’s a lot of other cities like Lansing (Okemos is literally a suburb but it never got mentioned in the Paige Renkoski episode) Flint,Saginaw, Port Huron, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor (U of M). All familiar cities. And Klan activity in Fowlerville? What??
Great Podcast!
Love listening to the podcast but I have noticed that the advertising sound has increased. It’s not pleasant when the sounds blasts loud!!! I get that there have to be ads but the volume increase is obnoxious.
Excellent
Finally a writer is talking about WHY. Why did the prosecutors in Oakland County Michigan avoid making arrests in the Oakland County Child Murder cases? Because the killer was part of an enormously prominent Big Three executive. So what, you may ask? Well, the main prosecutor in the OCCK case wanted to become a judge, a senator, a president. And he needed huge campaign contributions, one source of which was the dad of the killer. Thank you, Nina, for this very significant interview.
You don’t have to be from Michigan…
… To enjoy this podcast. Stories are interesting. I’ve never heard 95% of them before. They are narrated with compassion for the victims and respect for all the characters. This is my new favorite podcast!
the best, but
i am disappointed you changed the initial music as well as your opening words. They used to set the “spell” and i sorely miss them
A Voice for Truth
Nina is one of the most thoughtful, respectful hosts. You can tell in her episodes that she truly cares about each victim. She gives voice to victims and their families. She seeks truth and doesn't look away from injustices. Thank you for your commitment to this difficult work.
My favorite!!
I absolutely love Nina’s voice! And her compassion shows in her telling of each story. I’ve been listening since 2017 and don’t plan to stop! Thank you for such a great podcast.
Soothing
Nina’s voice is the best. She is so compassionate in her story telling. My favorite true crime podcast.
One of my Favs
Well researched true events with great narration. There’s heart behind each episode, more than just a podcast. 🤍
