Not for sissies
Definitely a great podcast but some of the cases are heartbreaking. Fortunately, the host does her research and tells these victim’s stories with respect.
Michigan!
So many stories that hit close to home! Thanks for bringing them to attention. Well done
Great podcast
Love this podcast, lots of background info and nice voice to hear🤘🏼
Love the pod
Love the pod. Love the hosts voice. But if cuyahoga falls and Akron come up In any future episodes, it’s pronounced “Ky-a-hoga” 😉
Ban political ads
Don’t and won’t listen to political ads on podcasts. If it keeps happening I’ll unsubscribe.
Great Podcast
One of my favorite podcasts. Great narrator!
Very good podcast
I enjoy the narration and the quick synopsis style. Nini is not too wordy, but gives enough information to keep the listener’s interest while moving the story along. Accordion bumper music would nice, but even without it I give this series five stars.
Always Interesting
Nina finds interesting cases. I appreciate her reporting and delivery of the information. She is compassionate, thorough and informative. That said, I hate the introduction music and announcement. Doesn’t align with the podcast.
Standing Ovation
One of the best !!!!!! Applause
AMAZING
She hosts a amazing podcast
Anti choice huh?
I have listened to this podcast for years and years, I was very surprised to hear an anti-choice advertisement at the beginning of an episode. Sorry Nina, can’t overlook that, best wishes.
GREAT with one caveat
PLEASE STOP with the Background music. Distracting and annoying . On the positive , the narrator has a Great voice.
Can't stop listening !
I love this podcast ! I just found it so I play it constantly trying to catch up ! I love up and vanished and heard you covering a court case for them !
Review of Already Gone, can’t get enough!!!
I just discovered this podcast and binge listen while at my computer or in my car since I have five years worth of episodes to catch up on. As a lifelong resident of Oakland County I appreciate all the details in the narration that are extremely accurate as to locations and other events occurring during the time frame being covered during the episode. Nina is very thorough in her investigations and narration and her honesty and compassion is abundantly clear. Plus her voice is so soothing it makes even the harshest storyline more palatable. Five stars is not enough praise for this podcast.✨✨🌟🌟✨✨⭐️⭐️
consistent excellence
I don't know how Nina finds so many cases I've never heard of but she does and she tells the stories well and with a lot of details. I realized so many podcasts tell the story so flatly that it feels like they're making a fiction of someone's tragedy and this is one of the only shows that doesn't do that because Nina has so much compassion.
Great podcast, bad intro
I love every episode! No complaints except I really wish they’d change the jarring screeching sound in the intro. The rest is so soothing and even keeled, it’s really jarring between episodes especially because I sometimes sleep to this. Otherwise, it’s suspenseful, informative and to the point with the facts…not full of extra chatter and personal opinions, unlike a lot of podcasts… which I love.
Love this find!
I randomly found this podcast and I love it. I’m binging it. It’s straight forward, no weird music or voices, no long personal stories. Just pleasant! I’ve listened to thousands of truecrime podcasts and I a rarely find stories I haven’t heard. But honestly, most of these are new to me! I’m excited that I have so many more episodes to look forward to 😃 keep up the awesome work.
Beautifully reported stories
The host Nina has an incredibly soothing voice (even when expressing justified outrage at some of the cases she covers) and frequently takes on cases new to me, an avid true crime content consumer. Her lens is empathetic and she offers some personal connections to the area and cases she covers (which is always so interesting, I loved her additional information on describing the apartments she grew up in where a case occurred or how adopting her son has given her a touch point to child care case workers). Really enjoying this podcast and appreciate the work that goes into this.
It was Collier's Interview
Nina, I have been an avid listener since I first played your podcast. The fact that, at the end of your interview, Collier Landry said theg "however you deal with your trauma" and included alcoholism and self harm, seemily as okay reactions??? That is UTTERLY heinous.
Kimball1967
This podcast episode #188 has triggered a cascade of memories of my hometown of Royal Oak. I recently found the show “Already Gone” and have been thrilled and amazed at the local reference points in each Mi episode to set the stage. “Pop, liverwurst sandwiches for lunch, Woodward Ave, Northwood Shopping Center” etc. and just the right amount of so accurate local nostalgia to made me chuckle. Keep up the great work, Nina and staff. This is the real deal of being born
Excellent true crime coverage
Nina does an excellent job of covering these cases. She does a great job of breaking down the details without all of the fluff. And she has the best story telling voice!
Suggestion
I have been listening to this podcast for a long time. Interesting cases and great host. I was surprised at one point kind of recently, that some changes were made. There is constant low level music in the background I find quite distracting. Drives me crazy. And the new choice of sound effects and music is awful. I don’t understand what all that screechy sound is and the harsh music. Definitely doesn’t go with Nina’s demeanor and beautiful voice. I feel like I’m being jarred out of my seat and find it disturbing. I love the podcast but wish you would consider ditching this new stuff and finding something less distracting and assaulting to the ears. Thanks.
